Alice McCracken, 94, of Carver, Mass, passed away in peacefully in her sleep on October 29, 2022. She was the wife of the late George E McCracken Jr.

Born in Providence, RI, the daughter of Charles & Gertrude (Miller) Colvin, she was active in the Carver school system, a member of the choir at Christ Church in Plymouth and a member of the Carver Garden club. Locally known as the Plant Lady, she operated a small greenhouse business for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Irene McCracken Schofield and Virginia Wilson, both of Wareham; her sisters, Roberta Perry of Carver, and Priscilla Beaudreau of New York; 2 granddaughters, Melissa Peterson of Hanson, and Mary Franzen of Pembroke, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday November 3rd  from 4-7 pm at Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver, Mass, Burial will be Friday November 4th at 10 am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) would be welcome.
