Obituary

Carole (Landers) Leet,84, of Halifax, Massachusetts died on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 after a brief illness at Jordon Hospital in Plymouth, MA with her family by her side.

An avid gardener, Carole took great pride in landscaping her yard with a constant bloom of flowers and shrubs, and planting her family's annual vegetable garden and its seemingly endless supply of bread and butter pickles and zucchini bread.  After working as the circulation manager of the Silver Lake News in Pembroke, MA, she concluded her career by being the new accounts officer at the Halifax branch of Abington Savings Bank. Everyone in town knew Carole. Carole and her late husband, Geoffrey, former executive sports editor at the Brockton Enterprise, loved traveling and camping across this great country, visiting family and friends while touring National Parks, presidential libraries, and other beautiful historic sites.

Born November 23, 1934 at Glynn Hospital on Uphams Corner in Dorchester, MA, she was a 1952 graduate of Archbishop Cushing High School, and was one of four children given to John J. Sr., and Gertrude (Gregory) Landers.

Carole is survived by her children, Gregory R. and life partner Albie J. Micklich, Patricia D. Rogers and husband Mark W., and Douglas W. and wife Lauren A. MacKay-Leet.  She was a devoted Mamie to her four beloved grandchildren, Lauren E. Rogers, Dennis W. Rogers, Mary Kate Leet and Daniel W. Leet. She leaves a brother, John "Jim" J. Landers, Jr. and was predeceased by her brothers Thomas "Tom" E. Landers and Phillip K. Landers.
