Caroline Hansen, age 75, of Kingston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 25, 1951, in Brockton, MA, Caroline graduated from Brockton High School in 1969. Caroline married Craig Hansen, Sr. in 1970 and they started their family in Marshfield, MA, before moving to Kingston, MA in 1988. Caroline cherished her role as a mother and focused all of her time and energy on her family. Caroline had a way of always putting others before herself. Her family meant everything to her, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with those she loved, especially her grandchildren.

Caroline’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to Cole, Cali and Ari. Caroline was always there for her grandchildren, whether cheering for them at soccer games in the pouring rain or taxiing them around, they knew they could always count on Grammie. She was their number one fan and never missed an opportunity to show them how special they were. Caroline leaves behind a legacy of beautiful, laughter-filled memories that they will carry with them forever.

Caroline enjoyed being part of the team at Bongi’s Turkey Roost, where she worked for over 20 years. Her coworkers quickly became like a family to her, and she cherished the deep friendships and daily camaraderie she built over two decades on the job.

Caroline is survived by her children, Christine Hansen and Craig “Buddy” Hansen, Jr., along with his wife April Hansen, grandchildren Cole, Cali and Ari Hansen, Georgiana Sutliffe, who was like a sister, as well as many other cherished family members and friends. Caroline was predeceased by her mother, Muriel Travers, father, Manuel Travers, and her beloved brother, Vernon Howe.

A memorial service honoring Caroline’s life will be held on November 1, 2026 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Rt. 106) Kingston, Massachusetts. Doors open at 11:00 AM for a time of gathering and remembrances, with a formal service beginning promptly at 12:00 PM
