Catherine (Kate) Majka, 46, of Kingston, MA passed away peacefully Friday, July 28, 2023 after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer (Glioblastoma).

Born on July 31, 1976 to Patricia Michaels Codey and the late John D. Codey, Jr.  Kate was a graduate of Taconic High School in Pittsfield and UMass Amherst.

Kate enjoyed watching her girls' sporting events, hanging out with friends, and of course, watching a good Hallmark movie.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Majka, and their daughters Olivia Majka and Addison Majka.  She is also survived by her mother Patricia Codey of Pittsfield, brothers; Patrick Codey of Pittsfield, Kevin Codey of Pittsfield and sister Christine Codey of Pittsfield, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of Kate's dear friends and neighbors who were at her side throughout her illness.  Their kindness will never be forgotten.

Visiting hours for Catherine will be held on Sunday, August 6th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 7th at Saint Josephs Cemetery in Kingston at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber.
