Obituary

Colleen Ann Flood, 65, a recent resident of Carver, MA passed away on September 11, 2026. She was born on April 8, 1961, to the late Christopher and Theresa (Harshani) Flood in Brockton, MA. She spent time in Whitman as a child before settling in Plympton, MA on Halloween of 1972. Colleen graduated in 1979 from Silver Lake High School. She attended Bridgewater State College and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education. Over the next 30 years, Colleen taught many children at Kinder Care Day Care in both Pembroke and West Bridgewater.

After that, Colleen moved to a wonderful community in Carver where she spent the last three years making friends with her neighbors and loving every dog that walked past her house. Whether in Plympton or Carver, Colleen enjoyed decorating her house and yard based on the current holiday season or event, with Christmas being her absolute favorite. Not only did she add to her collections every year, but so did her family and friends. Colleen was an avid animal lover and loved every cat and dog that she had the pleasure to meet. She loved to bake her special eclair ring for every holiday, a delicious treat we all looked forward to every holiday.

Colleen loved music and attended many concerts with her cousin Michelle. Her favorite concerts included Kenny Chesney and Donnie Osmond. She also loved Elvis Presley and would have loved to see him in concert if she had been able to. Colleen was a kind person with a warm heart and a beautiful soul. She would always greet her family and friends with a smile so sincere you could feel it and hugs that will be missed very much. Colleen is survived by her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Christopher and Theresa (Harshani) Flood and her brother Christopher Mark Flood. She will also lovingly remembered and missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Standish Human Society in her name. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main Street (route 106) Kingston, MA on Thursday October 8th from 4-7PM.
