Obituary

Debra Reid was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was one of the most genuine souls anyone could know, with a heart full of love and compassion for the people around her. Her family meant everything to her, and she will forever be remembered for the love she gave so freely.

A proud graduate of Brockton High School, Debra went on to study radiology technology and dedicated 35 years of her life to South Shore Medical Center, where she worked as the Manager of Radiology. She took great pride in her career and the many years she devoted to helping others.

Debra was the daughter of the late John Davenport and the late Louise Davenport of Brockton.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Reid, and her children, Janelle Reid, Donald Reid and his wife, Kendal Reid, and Aaron Reid and his wife, Jacqueline Reid.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Paul Attaya, Patrick Attaya, Emmett Reid, Kaleb Reid, Charlotte Reid, and Benjamin Reid. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She cared immensely for each of them and treasured every moment spent together.

She is also survived by her sister, Denise Davenport, and her brothers, John Davenport and his significant other, Susan Manning, and Fred Davenport and his wife, Daria Davenport.

Debra enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved going to the beach, sewing, reading, working on her Sudoku puzzles, spending time outdoors, and relaxing by the pool. Some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family and playing with her grandchildren.

Debra was Catholic, and although she was no longer able to attend church, her faith remained a part of her life.

Those who knew Debra knew how genuine she was. She had a special way of making people feel loved and cared for. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family were just a few of the qualities that made her so special.

Though her passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on forever. Her grandchildren will carry her love with them throughout their lives, and her family will forever cherish the moments they shared.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Debra may be gone from our sight, but she will never be gone from our hearts.
