Edward J. Bertino (79) of Kingston, MA passed away on August 24, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife Thoris (Doris) and their children Christine Bertino of Marshfield, Karen and her husband Dan Corbo of Marshfield, Donna and her husband Jerry O'Brien of Marshfield, Bobby Bertino of Kingston, and the late Carrie Bertino of Marshfield. He was a beloved Papa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson John Malaguti. Son of the late Harold and Anna Bertino of Southie. Dear brother to Harry and his wife MaryAnn Bertino of Weymouth, Kenny Bertino of Southie, and Anne Marie and her husband John Thornton of Quincy. He was best friends with his granddaughter Samantha “Sam Tino” Bertino of Marshfield.

Ed grew up in Southie before moving to Marshfield for nearly 30 years before settling in Kingston in 2002. He was a Vietnam Veteran who worked for Conditioned Air Products for 20+ years before starting in 1997 as a custodian and eventually Head of Maintenance at the Duxbury Public Schools until he retired in 2014. Ed was a very easy going, quiet guy with a fantastic sense of humor once you got to know him, who loved a good nap in his recliner and playing silly tricks on all. 

Services for Edward will be held on Sunday, August 30th  from 1 to 5pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, A Funeral Service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Monday, August 31st at 11am followed by a burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
