Edwin Louis Borsari, 94, of Kingston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 20, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Plymouth on February 15, 1932, he was the middle of three sons. Edwin lived most of his life in Kingston, establishing deep community roots and a legacy of quiet service, kindness, and devotion to his family.

In May 1952, Edwin enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving during the Korean War with the 8th Cavalry Regiment as a Combat Construction Specialist in Japan until April 1956. Following his service, he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Marie Schilling, on June 16, 1956. Ann Marie was a Kingston teacher, and together they raised three sons until her passing in January 1983. Edwin later married Yvonne Mary Dickson on May 15, 1991, whom he met at Silver Lake High School where she worked as an administrative assistant. They shared 19 years of marriage until her passing in June 2010.

Education was the cornerstone of Edwin’s career. He began teaching at Kingston Elementary before joining the Pembroke School System as an English teacher. He later served as Principal of both Center School and Bryantville Elementary School in Pembroke, dedicating his life to shaping generations of students. Beyond his career, Edwin was an active community volunteer. He served on the inaugural committee for the Kingston Youth Commission, organized and taught the local CCD Sunday school program, and served as a Boy Scout Troop Leader.

Quiet, kind, and loving to all who knew him, Edwin enjoyed good conversation, gardening, caring for the backyard critters, camping, and hiking—pastimes he continued late into life. Practical and steady, with a dry sense of humor, he brought warmth and calm to those around him.

Edwin will be remembered as a loving brother, husband, father, step-father, grandfather, uncle, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his brother Bob, three sons Warren, Greg and Matthew and their wives, two step-sons Geoff and Doug, five grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his brother Carl and his grandson, Marcus.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shepherd's Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 130 Elm Street, Kingston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
