Edwin "Ed" Randall
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edwin Randall on Saturday, June 29 at the age of 85.
Ed was born on May 28, 1939 in Plymouth to the late Phoebe and Albert Randall. He grew up in Marshfield and graduated from Marshfield high school in 1957. After graduation, Ed attended East Coast Aero Tech, becoming an A&P aircraft mechanic.
With a profound love for aviation Ed became a dedicated pilot which ultimately led him to build aircraft hangars at Plymouth Airport.
As a developer, Ed constructed the South Meadow Village mobile home park in Carver and Carver Square.
Later in life Ed nurtured a love for agriculture and became a cranberry grower. He developed pristine cranberry bogs in Plymouth, which became his pride and joy.
A true perfectionist, with a work ethic to match, Ed was passionate about his business endeavors leaving a lasting legacy on the community.
He was predeceased by his two sisters, Elizabeth and Marjorie, and his four brothers, George, Calvin, Vernon, and Norman.
Ed leaves behind his beloved partner Patrice Tucker, Joan Randall the mother of his three children, Kathy Randall, Jeffrey Randall and his wife Lisa, and Gary Randall. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew White, Nicole White, Meghan Randall, Kelsey Randall, and Maxwell Randall.
Patrice would like to express sincere gratitude to all of Ed's loving caregivers. Their care for Ed was exceptional while their kindness brought him comfort.
A memorial service will be held on July 11, 2024 at Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. Carver, MA from 10am to 12pm.
