Emma L. Orr aka Nana/Poohbear. 96, Passed away in Plymouth, MA on August 12, 2026. Emma enjoyed her days doing word searches, watching TV, sitting in the kitchen surrounded by her large loving family and getting her nails done, but what Emma truly enjoyed most was going out on her adventures with her granddaughter Brittany. Those quirky, funny and lighthearted videos of them two laughing together brought joy to many. Emma grew up in Quincy and enjoyed spending her summers in Halifax at her grandparents’ farm. Emma and her beloved late husband Tom started raising their 7 children in Abington before moving to Carver when they were still young. Emma and Tom were long-term members of the Carver Lyons Club as well as the Coachman Club. After Tom’s passing in 2007 Emma moved in and has lived with her daughter Regina and son-in-law Burt who has taken wonderful care of her for the last 19 years. In their home with their daughters Brittany and Jessica they hosted every holiday for Emma to be surrounded by everyone she loved. She is survived by her children Robert Orr of Maine (predeceased), Raymond Orr and Wife Christine of South Carolina, Marie and pre-deceased husband Frank of Plymouth, Richard Orr of Wareham, Nancy Orr of Maine, Regina Young and husband Burt of Plymouth, Johnny Orr of Plympton and niece Valerie Leathers of Maine. Her loving grandchildren Jennifer Orr, Robert Orr, Daniel Orr, Robert Orr, Jillian Orr, Timothy Ledwith, Amanda Ledwith, Craig Ledwith (predeceased), Ashley Cannonier, Shayne Orr, Nicole Kemmett, Paul Kemmett, Mike Kemmett, Brittany Predella and Jessica Wild. She also had many great grandchildren and a couple of great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please help support a cause that was very close to Emma’s heart. In memory of her grandson Craig, she supported the AFSP Suicide Prevention charity for the past 8 years. 

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 16th from 3-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (rt. 58) Carver.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17th at 10:45 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home at 9:30 to go in procession.
