Eugene J. Harnan "Gene" of Bourne, and formerly of Duxbury, passed away on August 17, 2011. He was 73 years old. Beloved husband of Sylvia Harnan. Loving father of Joseph Harnan and his wife Tricia of Marshfield, Thomas Harnan and his wife Patricia of of S. Boston, Kerri Clancy of Duxbury, Gayle and her husband Robert Coveno of Woburn, and Mary and her husband Brian Camara of S. Boston. Son of the late Owen and Helen Harnan. Brother of Maureen McCauley and her husband Patrick of Milton, and Catherine Klee of St. Petersburg. Cherished grandfather of 15. Gene is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church in Duxbury on Monday, August 22nd at 11:00 AM. Internment will be at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury.
