On the morning of March 19th, George Michael Malkasian, 67, passed away unexpectedly.  Mike is survived by his wife and counterpart of 33 years, Maria Strange Malkasian; daughter, Stacy Malkasian; step-daughters, Sonya Wich & Kimberley Dietrich; grandchildren Dominic, Christian, Olivia, Nicholas, Matthew, William, Anthony, and many loving friends.

Mike's surviving family include his brother Martin and sister Suzanne. Mike is preceded in death by his daughter, Katelyn Malkasian and his parents, George and Rose (Mokgosian) Malkasian.

Mike, or "Mikey" as he was known best, was a very kind, dedicated, compassionate, and loving man. Mike had a successful career at Desco Industries, Inc., working there for 39 years. Mike enjoyed his many hobbies: playing golf, watching sports, projects around the house, an annual trip to Aruba, and watching Fox News.  Though, the time he valued most was being surrounded by his close family and friends who he deeply loved and cared for.  If you were fortunate enough to have known him, you know that he had one of the biggest hearts, and Mike was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend in need. Mikes absence will be felt by many, and will leave a gaping hole in many hearts.

Graveside service will be held at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St., Newton, MA on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1pm.
