Joan C. (McDonald) Garvey, 84 years of Kingston, MA passed away on May 23, 2023. Joan loved to spend time traveling with Bermuda being one of her favorite trips. Joan enjoyed spending time together with her family and organizing and overseeing functions for the community of Kingston where she lived. She was married to James (Jim) for almost 65 years. Joan was an excellent dancer and enjoyed it thoroughly.

She is survived by her husband James C. Garvey, her children Laura Garvey, Carol Garvey, Colleen and her husband Kevin Bachelder, Jennifer and her husband Charlie Bichajian and was predeceased by her son Jim. Joan has 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. Kingston, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday June 1, 2023 at 10:00am St. Josephs Church, Main St. Kingston at 10:00AM. A burial will be held at 12pm on Friday June 9,2023 at  Holy Family Cemetery Union St., Rockland MA.
