John "Jay" Chandler Blanchard, 73, passed away of natural causes on May 7, 2023, at his residence in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

Jay was born in Duxbury, Massachusetts to Harry Gordon and Mary Martha Blanchard on January 12, 1950. He attended Duxbury High School, followed by St. John's Prep School in New York, and New Hampton School and St. Paul's School in New Hampshire.

After attending the University of Hartford in Connecticut, Jay enjoyed a fulfilling career building and remodeling custom homes. He lived all over the country – from his childhood spent in the Northeast, to South Carolina, Florida, Hawaii, and Washington state. Jay appreciated nature and the outdoors, taking in views from his kayak or cruising on his motorcycle earlier in life.

Jay was preceded in death by his beloved son and closest friend, John Blanchard (41). He is survived by his daughter Sarah Blanchard, his daughter-in-law Sarah Browning, his two sisters and their families: Lee (Chuck) Quinn and Sharon (Ken) Nix, and a loving community of friends.
