John Farquharson, 80, of Rockland, Ma passed away on July 11 at the South Shore Hospital, John was pre deceased by his parent Willard and Janet Farquharson, step mother Alice, brothers Willard and Daniel, John is survived by Robert Farquharson of Easton and Gerry Farquharson of Wareham as well as many nieces and nephews.

John was born in Quincy and grew up in Abington where he attended school until he entered the Army during the Vietnam war where he served 2 years in Germany and the rest of his service Stateside,. After the Army, John worked as a union carpenter for many years until opening Mac's Rubbish Disposal in Hanson. He was An avid gun collector and enjoyed bird Hunting and had two Brittany Spaniels.

Services for John will be held at the National Cemetery on Thursday, July 20 at10;15 am
