Keithly
May 2, 2024
Kenneth Paul Keithly, 79, passed away April 21, 2024. Ken was born on September 10, 1944 in Alexandria, LA to the late Paul and Laura Keithly and is survived by his younger sister Mary Primm, and her husband Buddy, of Duluth, GA.
Louise Virginia Keithly, 80, passed away May 2, 2024. Louise was born in Cambridge, MA on January 20, 1944 to the late Ruth and William Brogan. Louise was the youngest of five siblings, the late William T. Brogan and Evelyn McGloin and is survived by Robert Brogan and Priscilla Vears. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews all around the country.
Ken was a member of the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1972 serving two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He went on to work as a private and commercial airline pilot and later started his own business, the Chimney Chap, retiring in 2010. A few of his favorite pastimes include windsurfing, which took him around the country, and beyond, boating, Red Sox games, and being at the beach with friends and family. He also enjoyed doing yard work and handyman projects round the house.
Ken and Louise spent their early years together in Hollywood, FL before moving to Duxbury, MA where they had one daughter, Ashley Sanchez, now of Pembroke, MA.
Louise spent her best years working as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines where she traveled the world and made many life-long friends. She enjoyed spending summer days at Duxbury Beach, lunch with friends, and her annual trip to Las Vegas with (sister) Pat and (niece) Cindy.
The family wishes to thank the team at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Hospital in Bedford, MA for their kindness and compassion during Ken's residency. Louise received the same excellent care from the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Weymouth, MA for which we are eternally grateful.
A memorial service will be held at Shepherd Funeral home in Kingston, MA on May 17th at 10:30am followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston, MA at 12pm
