Obituary

Kevin Coleman Cooke, beloved husband, father and stepfather, son, brother, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kevin grew up in Hanover, Massachusetts, and attended Xaverian Brothers High School, where he played football and developed a lifelong passion for sports, teamwork, and friendship. He later attended Assumption College, where he met Christa, who would become his wife and lifelong partner. Their time together there marked the beginning of a life built on love, laughter, and shared memories.

He built a successful career in sales within the textile industry, where his ability to connect with others set him apart. Hardworking and personable, Kevin formed lasting relationships that extended well beyond business, and he will be remembered fondly by colleagues, customers, and friends alike.

He was a proud father to his daughter, Kate, and a loving stepfather to Liam and Caylee Higgins. He took great joy in their lives—watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their everyday moments. The love, guidance, and memories he gave them will remain with them always.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, Richard Cooke. He is survived by his wife, Christa; his daughter, Kate; his stepchildren, Liam and Caylee Higgins; his mother, Maureen Cooke; and his brother, Brendan Cooke of Hanover, along with extended family in Massachusetts and Ireland and many close friends who will miss him deeply.

He will be remembered for his humor, strength, and the meaningful relationships he built throughout his life.

Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love, connection, and lasting memories in all who knew him.

Above all, Kevin will be remembered for the love he gave and the love he inspired in return.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 23rd from 2-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 24th at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury. Graveside service to follow at Mayflower cemetery.
