Laurie Susan Kelso, age 51, of Duxbury, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 15, 2015, after a long courageous struggle with cancer.

She is survived by her beloved son, Robbie; her mother, Dorothy H. Kelso; her brother, Tony and his wife Jane, all of Duxbury; her sister, Tass and her husband George Maentz of Colorado Springs, CO; her sister, Deb and her husband Clif Pye of Lawrence KS. She also leaves her niece, Grace Kelso, and nephews, Hans Maentz, Ian Pye, Charlie Pye, Harry Kelso and Will Kelso; her uncle, Robin Honiss and his wife Judi of Stonington CT, and a large extended family.

Laurie was the daughter of the late James G. Kelso. She was a graduate of Duxbury High School, the Museum of Fine Arts School and Tufts University. She was an artist, jeweler and accomplished gardener.

Family services have been held.
