Martha L. Cutliff McCarthy passed away on August 19, 2023 at her home in Carver, Massachusetts with her daughters, Cheryl McCarthy and Karen Soule, by her side.

Martha was born December 10, 1938 and was raised in Everett, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Kathleen Cutliff. Upon graduating from The New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1959, she worked as a Registered Nurse for more than forty years. Martha married Paul T. McCarthy in 1960, and in 1967 they settled in Duxbury Massachusetts, raising their two daughters.

Martha spent time in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and South Carolina, returning to Massachusetts in 2013. In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her sister, Debra Cutliff Waitt, nephew Adam Waitt, niece Rebecca Waitt, son-in-law Glen Soule, granddaughter Jessica Black, and great-grandchildren Ainslie and Caden Lynch.
