Mary Ellen (O'Brien) Casey, of Carver, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022, after a quiet yet commanding battle at the age of 71.  Beloved wife of Francis for nearly 48 years.  Loving mother to Erin-Marie Oakham and her husband Gary; Meredith Hurley and her husband Brian Jr.  Adored Nanny to Connor, Fallon, Jack and numerous fur-babies.

Mary Ellen was born in Boston, daughter to John and Ellen (Griffin) O'Brien, sister to Richard T. O'Brien III of Carver.  She grew up in West Roxbury amongst numerous Griffin and Quigley cousins.  Mary Ellen and Francis moved to Carver to raise their family and made many wonderful friends who have now become part of their family.

Aside from her family, Mary Ellen's greatest accomplishments came as a special education teacher first in the Boston Public Schools then in the Carver Public Schools for 30 years.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 86 Court St., Plymouth, MA on Thursday, June 2nd at 10:30am.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cranberry Hospice 36 Cordage Park Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360.
