Mary P. (Knight)
Wager
June 3, 2023
Mary P. (Knight) Wager , beloved "Mae" age 83, of Plymouth passed peacefully on June 3, 2023.
Mary was the loving wife to the late Robert W. Wager, loving mother to Michele Ballantyne of Carver, Maureen Wager of Plymouth and Michael Wager of East Falmouth, loving grandmother ( Nana) to Jimmy, Katie, Brian , Marissa and Jillian and great Grandmother to L.J. (Little Jimmy), Wesley and Eloise. Marys parents , Mary (Brown) Knight and Earl Knight predeceased her.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Zaniboni, Roberta ( Mikey) Prince, Marilyn ( Sis) Romboldi and her brother Jan Knight. Her brother, Earl ( Bumps) predeceased her in June 2018.
Mary grew up in Carver with a special connection to Edaville Railroad, where her father worked. She spent most of her career in food service at Kingston Elementary, where she was loved by many generations of students and staff. In her later years she split her time between South Florida and Massachusetts, but no matter where she was, you could find her playing Bingo, which she played for over 50 years; spending time at the Plymouth and Kingston Senior Centers, meeting up with friends for coffee and conversation. Her Yorkshire Terrier, " Teddy" stole her heart , she could often be seen walking him around her neighborhood, socializing with her neighbors. She was just a phone call away for so many loved ones, to whom she always brought good cheer, kindness and of course, laughter.
She will be deeply missed and always remembered with love and admiration.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Shepherds Funeral Home 216 Main StreetKingston, from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, June 25th. A blessing will be held at Shepherds Funeral Home on Monday, June 26th at 1000 am , followed by internment at Evergreen Cemetery, 21 Green Street, Kingston.
