Michael C. Tripp passed away May 17th at his home in Middleboro. He was 77. Michael grew up in Middleboro and graduated from Middleboro High School Class of 1967. In 1969 he enlisted in the United States Army and Served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. Michael went on to serve with the Special Forces Green Beret, retiring as Master Sergeant in 1993. He also won his Master Parachutist Badge, Korean Master Parachutist Badge and German Master Parachutist Badge. Michael's final assignment was US Army ROTC Cadet Command, where he taught ROTC at Dartmouth College, Hanover NH. He then decided to go to college where he graduated from Norwich University in 1994. Retirement brought him to work as a caretaker at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, a job which he finally retired from.

Michael is survived by his wife Janice Frates-Tripp, his son Charles Tripp his wife Jillian and step daughter Jaice of VT, niece Amy Gandy of CA, & great nieces Simone and Mia. He was Predeceased by his twin sister Kathleen Tripp Welch.

A graveside Service with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National cemetery on Thursday June 4th at 11:15am.
