Peter Johnson, age 78 of Pembroke MA passed peacefully on June 24, 2022 after a lengthy illness.  He was the beloved son of Walter and Helen Johnson of East Weymouth, and brother to Catherine Breen and her husband William of Kingston and Helen Virga and her husband Charles of Fairhaven.  Peter was also the favorite uncle to Matthew and Peter Breen and Benjamin, Katherine and Elizabeth Virga. Peter taught English in the Weymouth Public Schools for many years and he loved his profession. Peter was known for his love of cars, a good mystery and skiing Sunday River but most importantly for being a good friend to many. We are grateful for the loving care Peter received from the staff  at BayPath Nursing Home in Duxbury and Beacon Hospice of Plymouth.  Services will be private.
