November 8, 1962 – October 5, 2026

Peter David Kellar, age 63, of Duxbury, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, October 5th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth after his battle with alcohol use disorder. Born in Boston, MA, and raised in Scituate, MA; Walton on the Thames, England; and Duxbury, he was the son of the late Edward and Doris Kellar. Peter attended Duxbury Public Schools and spent the bulk of his career working with his brother Bob in the tile and marble installation trade.

Peter loved Duxbury and seemingly knew every road, trail, forest, pond and beach in town like the back of his hand. He was an outdoorsman and fisherman who spent countless hours on the water and in the woods soaking in all of the natural beauty that the town offers. He was also an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed playing for his niece and nephews when they were young kids. Peter was the grill master for all family gatherings and was always trying to develop the perfect dry rub blend for his steaks.

Peter leaves his four siblings, Elizabeth, Robert and his wife Kim, Joan and her husband Matthew, David and his wife Emily, as well as his beloved labrador Holly. He was a loving uncle to Emma and her wife Autumn, Edward, and Ross and his wife Meaghan. He was a great uncle to Nathan, Cadogan and Henry. Burial at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury will be private.
