Obituary

Philip A Stack Jr.

October 25, 1942 – February 15, 2025

Philip Stack of Plymouth, 82, passed away peacefully on Feb 15th surrounded by his family.

Born in Needham, MA. Phil was the son of the late Philip and

Claire Stack. Phil attended St. Sebastian's High School and graduated from Boston

College. At this time, he met the love of his life Diane, they were married for 65 years.

Together they started their journey in Michigan, moving back to Massachusetts, living in

Medfield, Marshfield, Kingston and finally Plymouth.

Together they lived a full life, he enjoyed a successful sales career, which enabled them

to travel to many exotic places around the world and wonderful vacation spots. Phil's

most precious moments were spent with his family. He loved being on the water, it

started with a small motorboat eventually graduating to his sailboat, the "My Diane"

which he would sail from Falmouth to the Islands every summer with the entire family.

When he wasn't sailing, he could be seen skiing on the slopes in North Conway, NH. He

would often say "the more snow the better" he loved a good snowstorm. He would take

these opportunities to capture many beautiful moments through his photography. Family

and friends were always welcome at his home, he would sit at the head of the dining room

table and share good food, good stories and good laughs. He compiled all his favorite

gourmet recipes in three cookbooks he authored, titled "Rarely Achieved by Others".

He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife Diane and his children, Lily Zane

(Steve) of Providence RI, Julie Hargrave (Andy) of Duxbury, Linda Cook (Roger) of

Kingston and Brian (Lisa) of Marshfield and all his beloved grandchildren, Katherine and

Thomas Hargrave, Timothy and Matthew Cook, Andrew, Rebecca and Kevin Stack. He

will be missed by his brother James and his wife Beverly of Bourne, along with many

brothers and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Phil passed away during a beautiful sunrise, we know he is sailing off to calm waters

and eternal happiness.

Visitations will be held on Saturday March 1st, 2025, from 11-2pm at the Shepard Funeral
