R. Kenneth Savard, 84, of Kingston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by the caring staff at Life Care Center of Plymouth, at 3:00 a.m. on April 30, 2026. Born on May 8, 1941, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Ken made Kingston his home for over 60 years, where he created a life filled with family, a successful business, and service to others.

Ken honorably served in the United States Navy until 1960, when he was discharged due to medical reasons. After his service, he pursued a career in electronics, becoming a master electrician. In 1969, he founded his own electrical contracting business, building a reputation in Kingston, Duxbury, and beyond, known for his quality workmanship, integrity, and professionalism.

His career provided well for his family and earned the respect of clients and colleagues. Ken was dedicated to sharing his expertise, mentoring his son, Wade, and many aspiring electricians. His guidance extended beyond his trade, inspiring people in various arts, including photography, painting, and crafts.

Ken had a passion for numerous hobbies, including fly fishing, stained glass, leather embossing, boat building, and oil painting. His friends and family remember his talents, kindness, and generosity.

Survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Savard, brother Timothy Savard, and children Wade Savard of Middleborough, Massachusetts; Brie Savard of Kingston, Massachusetts; and Darrin Draffone of Boston, Massachusetts, he also leaves behind grandchildren John Savard of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and his daughters, Kendyl and Kaylee; Julia Savard of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and her son, Conor; and Kristy Vacca and her husband Derek Vacca of Kingston, New Hampshire, along with their children, Travis, Tanner, and Lacey.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ken’s life on Friday, July 31, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Duxbury Maritime School, 457 Washington St., Duxbury, MA 02332.

Ken’s legacy is not just in the business he built or the talents he mastered, but in the countless lives he touched with his generosity and mentorship. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
