Robert 'Sandy' Campbell, age 72, of Halifax, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born in Nashua, New Hampshire to the late Robert and Verna (Doucet) Campbell of Carver, Massachusetts on August 1, 1950.

Sandy lived in Milford, NH until his family moved to Hanover, MA in 1958. He attended elementary school in Hanover before attending Fork Union Military Academy, VA. Sandy was a graduate of Fryeburg Academy class of '69. He earned an associates degree from Andover Institute of Business in Brockton, MA, and served nine years with the Army National Guard.

Sandy had an accomplished career in sales and service in the automotive aftermarket industry. He developed a training program for diagnostic equipment and traveled the country sharing his knowledge and expertise.

Among his happiest memories are summers at York Beach, ME and Nubble Light, camping trips and vacations with his family, relaxing and enjoying the sights of Sedona, AZ, snow skiing with his family and friends, boating on the lake, and restoring his old house.

Sandy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janice L. Campbell of Halifax, MA; three sons, Robert, Jr. and his wife Gail of Hartsville, SC; Brian and his wife Jenny of Halifax, MA; David and his wife Erin of North Conway, NH; his sister Janet Duncan of Carver, MA, his brother Jeffrey and wife Kim of Nashua, NH. He was predeceased by his brother Stewart Campbell. Sandy was Grampa to nine grandchildren: Madison and Brady Campbell of Hartsville, SC; Sebastian Cunningham, US Navy Jacksonville, FL; Ethan Cunningham and Layla Campbell of Halifax, MA; Annabelle, Hailey, Cowan, and Emily Campbell of North Conway, NH.

Sandy also leaves behind many adored nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, and many wonderful friends. Visiting hours will be at Shepard's Funeral Home on 116 Main Street in Carver, MA on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be at the Halifax Congregational Church on 503 Plymouth Street Tuesday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m.

Sandy encouraged young people pursuing careers in the automotive industry. In his memory, we have established a scholarship to be awarded to a senior, graduating from the automotive Career and Technical Education program at Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, MA.
