Robert Howard McEvoy age 96 of Halifax, MA passed away on May 18, 2026 at South Shore Hospital.

Robert was born to Howard and Ruth McEvoy on July 19, 1929. He graduated from Needham High School and went on to continue his education at the University of Maine. He was a veteran of the Korean War in which he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery.

Robert worked in sales for Synthane-Taylor for many years. He retired in his 50's and enjoyed many years working in his yard and doing home improvements.

Robert is survived by the love of his life Sandra, his daughters Susan (Kevin), Gail (John) and Betsy. He also leaves his grandchildren Lori, Danielle, Taryn, Brett, Shane, Paul Jr, Stephanie and Daniel. Robert was the great grandfather to 11. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Paul and his siblings.

An hour of visitation will take place on Friday, May 22nd from 10-11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Central Cemetery in Halifax.
