We are sad to announce the passing of Sara Richardson Emerick of Kingston, Massachusetts. She died at age 45 years on October 9, 2022. She is survived by Susan Emerick (mother), Stacey Emerick (sister), and Emma Canham (daughter). She was a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, and an accomplished, esteemed energy auditor and manager driven to make a difference in energy conservation. Most of all, her daughter, Emma, was the center of her life.

She was an adventurer at heart, meeting friends and family for concerts, beach outings, hiking, and skiing. As a young world traveler, she and her friend, Kristen, backpacked around the world for a year. She was a great lover of music, always discovering and following novel bands. She took considerable pride in her home restoration and maintenance. We could count on her to get on a plane at a moment's notice, to put her family first in joyful and tough times. We will miss her.

To honor Sara's memory, we are holding a private celebration of her life with family and close friends present. We invite you to donate and/or get active with organizations that help, advocate and lobby for victims of domestic violence, in Sara's honor and in place of sending flowers.
