Obituary

Sharen Lee MacNichol Crawford, 75 years old of Carver, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 3, 2023.


Sharen was born on March 7, 1948, and was the daughter of Bennett and Dorothy MacNichol.


Sharen spent her childhood living and attending school in Hingham MA. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1966. Sharen worked for years as a Plymouth Carver school bus driver. She later spent more than 20 years working for the Plymouth and Brockton Bus Company shuttling people back and forth to Boston and throughout the New England States. She absolutely loved and enjoyed her work and the many people she met over the years.


Sharen also enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, skating and traveling the country with her family. Sharen lived for summers by her pool surrounded by good food, her friends and family. Sharen loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Sharen is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Steven Crawford, her daughter Lara Lee Phippen and husband Richard S Phippen JR., her son Christopher Crawford all of which reside in Carver.


Sharen leaves behind four grandchildren, Richard Safford Phippen III, Benjamin Steven Phippen of Carver, Rebecca Lee Phippen of Plymouth and Alysia Lee Crawford of Carver.


Benjamin Steven Phippen and his wife Amanda blessed Sharen and Steven with two wonderful great-grandchildren, Lincoln Ronbeck Phippen and Luna Joanne Phippen all of Carver.


She will be missed greatly by her siblings: Janice Hernandez of Holderness NH, Susan Paradise of NY, and Ronald Vanderpool of Spring Grove IL.


Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 9th, from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 58), Carver.


A funeral service will take place on FridayNovember 10th at  11:00 AM at the United Church of Carver, 115 Main Street Carver. Graveside services will follow at Central Cemetery, Carver.
