Obituary

Stephen Eaton, 76, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, following an eight-year battle with VEXAS, a rare and debilitating autoimmune disease.

Born and raised in Quincy, Steve graduated from North Quincy High School in 1967 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he built a career with the telephone company, retiring from Verizon at the age of 52.

In 1970, Steve married the love of his life, Donna. Together, they eventually settled in Pembroke, where they raised their two daughters and built a lifetime of family memories.

Steve was a devoted father and grandfather who took great pride in his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and cherished the simple pleasures of life, including his beloved Sunday football games. Known for his strong work ethic, unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, and unmistakable stubbornness, Steve left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his lifelong friendships, and the many laughs and memories he shared with those he loved.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Michelle Trepanier and her husband, Jason, of Pembroke, and Kimberly Connors and her husband, Bryon, of Kingston. He was a loving grandfather to Madison and Gavin Razzaboni; Alexa and Juliana Connors; and Christien, Elijah, and Moriah Trepanier. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Stevie. Steve is also survived by his companion, Linda Hill, of Plymouth; his sister, Sheila Rogerson, and her husband, Danny, of Rockland; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Steve's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his illness. Above all, they are grateful that he was able to spend his final days peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, on Tuesday, November 3, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Kingston. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery in Pembroke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Steve's beloved wife, Donna.
