Steven Lawrence St. Onge ("Steve O" or "Stevie"), 53, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 12, while working in Boston.

Born on November 24, 1972, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Steven was raised in Pembroke by his mother, Ruth St. Onge. He graduated from Silver Lake Regional Technical High School in Kingston, where he studied carpentry and woodworking. Following high school, he earned a certificate in Refrigeration and HVAC through Ferris State University and began his career with Atlantic Refrigeration and HVAC, now Atlantic Mechanical, in Weymouth. Steven dedicated more than 30 years to the company.

Throughout his career, Steven continued to grow professionally, becoming an unrestricted Master Sheet Metal Technician. He also earned certifications as a Journeyman Gas Fitter and Certified Hoisting Engineer, along with completing numerous construction and safety programs.

In April 2001, Steven married his wife, Jodi St. Onge of Randolph. Together they made their home in Plymouth and raised their two daughters, Rachael and Samantha. Steven was a hardworking, honest man who took great pride in providing for his family. Though quiet and shy at first, those who knew him well knew his humor, compassion, loyalty, and kind heart.

Steven loved fishing, nature hikes, and traveling to experience the beauty of waterfalls, lakes, gorges, mountains, and the ocean. He was handy and resourceful, able to fix nearly anything he set his mind to. A simple man who found joy in life's quiet moments, Steven valued friendship and loyalty above all. Most importantly, he loved being a father and raising his family. He was always willing to stand up for those less fortunate or living with disabilities, and he had a special love for his children, nieces, and nephews.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Jodi; his daughters, Rachael and Samantha; his mother, Ruth St. Onge of Pembroke; his sister, Julie St. Onge of Abington; his sisters-in-law, Jill Griffin of Hull and Alison and Trevor Clark of Avon; several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and many cherished friends.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 8th from 4-8:00 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9th at 10:00 AM and a graveside service will follow at Pine Grove cemetery in Pembroke.
