Thelma C. Holmes, of Kingston, passed away on August 15, 2011. She was 89 years old. Thelma was a friend and caregiver to many friends and relatives including her own mother. She was always willing to lend a hand, and loved the telephone, and word searches. Loving wife of the late Wendell Holmes. Beloved mother of John and his wife Peggy Holmes of Kingston, Brian W. Holmes of Kingston, and Douglas C. Holmes of Quincy. Daughter of the late John T. and Marjorie Cushman. Sister of Natalie Mowll of NH, and sister in law to Pauline Deacon of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of 4, and great grandmother of 4. Thelma is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. Internment will be at the Evergreen cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
