Obituary

Theresa Prunier, 93, of Bridgewater, MA, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. She was the loving wife of Joseph for 42 years before his passing in 1999.

Born in Norwood and raised in Canton, Theresa was the daughter of Edward and Jeanette McManus. She attended St. John the Evangelist High School and graduated in 1950. After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper in Boston and continued in the accounting field until her retirement in 1995.

Theresa raised her family in Holbrook, where she was active in town politics and was a member of the Holbrook Historical Society. She enjoyed vacations to Cape Cod and New Hampshire with her family. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband to California, Florida, and Canada. Theresa was an avid gardener and Bridge player. She enjoyed arts and crafts, antiquing, and interior designing with her daughter, Barbara, as well as visiting with friends and family.

She is survived by her three sons, Richard (wife Maryanne), Edward, and David (wife Ana); four granddaughters; two great-grandsons; her sister, Mary Camara of Raynham; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Barbara; and her brother, John.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Life Care Center of Acton for the loving care they provided Theresa.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Theresa’s life at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston, MA, on Monday, September 14th from 8:30am to 9:30am.

A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Joseph’s Church, 272 Main St., Kingston, MA at 10:00am. A graveside service will be held at National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, following the Funeral Mass.
