Thomas A.
Nunzio
d. Aug 18, 2026
Thomas A. Nunzio, affectionately known as Tom, 69, of Carver, passed away on August 18, 2026, from complications of end-stage renal disease.
Tom was born on March 4, 1957, in Bethlehem, PA, to Francis Nunzio and Adella (Barwick) Asci. His childhood fostered a lifelong love of the outdoors. In his youth, he could often be found spending time at the barn working with horses, fishing, camping, or enjoying days at the beach.
After graduating from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1975, Tom began a long career as an HV AC technician, working in the industry until his retirement. He could fix anything with a tiny flashlight and a little determination.
Tom settled in Carver and raised three daughters. He became the world’s best alarm clock and weekend breakfast cook.
In his later years, he embraced his favorite job of all: serving as his granddaughter Laila’s personal chauffeur and concierge. Nothing made him happier than greeting her after school with a KitKat. Being Laila’s Grampy was the greatest joy in his life.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Francis Nunzio, and his stepfather, Forrest Asci. He is survived by his mother, Adella Asci, and stepmother, Rose Nunzio. He is dearly remembered by his daughters, Angela Nunzio, Michelle Holmes and her husband, Jamie, Christina Ripley and her partner, Rich. Tom is survived by his brother Anthony Nunzio, and his wife, Patricia, and their daughters, Shannon and Nicole; his sister, Danielle Nunzio, and her son, Derek. He leaves behind his eight cherished grandchildren: Julian, Laila, Christian, Audrey, Brennan, Scarlett, Adrian, and Tristan.
Tom loved the simple things in life. Nothing made him happier than a car ride on a sunny day with The Sports Hub on the radio and a good cigar. He was an avid Boston sports fan, with a particular affinity for the New England Patriots. There were few moments he enjoyed more than watching the Patriots play on Sundays with his dad by his side.
Tom’s daughters would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fresenius Plymouth for the kindness, patience, and compassion they showed while caring for their dad over the past eight months.
Tina, Michelle, and Angela invite family and friends to a celebration of life for Tom on September 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Upland Club in Plympton, Massachusetts. Please put on your favorite Boston sports gear and join us to raise a glass in his honor.
