Virginia Irene (Bourne) Minott, 91, long-time resident of Plympton, MA and Burlington, Maine, and most recently New Portland, ME, passed away at home on September 6th, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's.  "Ginny" was the beloved wife of the late Irving "Sonny" Minott.

Virginia was born in Plymouth, MA to Kenneth and Irene (Parker) Bourne on August 2, 1931.  She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949.  Ginny had many talents and occupations in her life but first and foremost she was an incredible wife and mother.  When she saw what others would call an obstacle, she would see a challenge. She believed every 'stranger' was an opportunity to make a friend.

Virginia is survived by her four children, Irene, Irving (Chuck), Bruce & wife Carol, Deb & husband Michael. Grandchildren, Melissa, Bobby, Lianna, JoAndrea (Annie), Sara, CJ, Keith, Kasey, and great grandchildren, Mari, Joshua, Ethan, Eddie, Faith, Billy, Brady and Jake

Visiting hours will be at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) Kingston, on Monday September 12th from 5-8:00 p.m

A Funeral service will be held at the Mayflower Church in Kingston on Tuesday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Central Cemetery in Halifax.
